With the sport of MMA growing at an impressive rate, more and more youth students are looking to make the crossover from conventional martial arts into a MMA program.  Many of these young students discover that the world of MMA is not what they expected and as a result are not fully prepared and some suffer injuries, get discouraged and some give up martial arts completely.

Motivated by the safety of these young students, Master Zulfi Ahmed decided to introduce an entirely new martial sport that will provide a groundbreaking new way to experience MMA, without the high risk of injury.  This sport will provide a place where youth of all ages can refine their skills without being exposed to the intense levels of grappling and striking found in MMA style programs.

Skrappling will provide a middle of the road solution for MMA and provides a fundamental bridge between the ground and stand up games through a points based sport that rewards technique, precision, accuracy and control.  This new approach provides the versatility and skill of mixed martial arts, but because there is not as much physical trauma to the participants, they will experience a healthier evolution in understanding grappling and full contact Mixed Martial Arts.

Grand Master Zulfi Ahmed was inspired to invent the sport of Skrappling to improve the MMA evaluation process of students, the overall retention of MMA students, and nurture development of the true Mixed Martial Artist through a developmental program designed to protect the honor of traditional disciplines and provide a fundamental bridge between ground and stand-up. Thank you for joining Grand Master Zulfi in his efforst facilitating the sport of MMA through the new martial sport known as Skrappling.
